Message from Vice Chancellor for Research Roberto Peccei about the UCLA response to the Economic Recovery Initiatives

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research works with the academic leadership, faculty, researchers, and graduate students:

To advance cutting-edge research programs across and between the broad spectrum of disciplines at UCLA.

To foster research and technology development that contribute to regional, national and international economic growth, educational and social advancement.

To foster research partnerships and collaborations across international boundaries, disciplines and sectors.

To provide the optimal research environment and infrastructure.

To promote economic development through knowledge transfer and the commercialization of research results.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research also has managerial responsibility for research-related administrative units of the university.
